Danielle Miranda de Oyá

Guided by the orishas and ancestral heritage, she leads initiatives that promote cultural preservation, community well-being, and the continuation of Afro-Indigenous traditions through a decolonial framework focused on ancestral knowledge and social justice.

Danielle is also committed to cultural empowerment, using ancestral teachings to uplift marginalized voices and foster a sense of belonging and identity within the Afro-Indigenous community.

Her mission is to strengthen the connection with the orishas through axé-based practices, sacred rituals, and teachings that promote holistic well-being. She is committed to the preservation of traditions, the affirmation of Afro-Brazilian culture, and the visibility, respect, and inclusion of African-based religions in society.

My Story

“I was born and raised within the Umbanda tradition, where the orishas have continuously served as my guides, leading me through paths of ancestral wisdom. Oyá, with her fierce and transformative force, embodies the courage to live fully within community - a power that uplifts women and marginalized groups, inspiring resilience, collective strength, and resistance.

Her presence reminds us of the vital connections between all elements: the air that sustains our breath, the waters that renew our spirits, the sun that gives life, the rainbow that symbolizes unity, and the winds that carry our collective voices forward.

Like the eagle’s wings, cutting through the sky with freedom and determination, we are called to honor each force, embracing our place in the cycle of life. By recognizing the power within every being, we foster courage, build strong communities, and promote collective healing and empowerment.”
